Can GetXAPI read encrypted XChat DMs?

No. OmniX is currently the only X (Twitter) API that reads, sends and decrypts end-to-end encrypted XChat DMs. GetXAPI's DM endpoints cover standard DMs only.

Does GetXAPI have webhooks or an MCP server?

As of July 2026 GetXAPI does not advertise real-time webhooks or a native MCP server. OmniX ships both: webhook subscriptions with filter rules, and a 55-tool MCP server (npm: omnix-mcp) for Claude, Cursor and other agents.

Do I need an X developer account for either service?

No. Both OmniX and GetXAPI work without an official X developer account or OAuth app approval.
